We invite you to experience an extravaganza of 13 exciting dance performances you will not soon forget – from ballet to urban to burlesque. Come and let the Dazzlers dancers enchant and entice you with their magic at the beautiful Pyramid Theatre. Inspired by fantastic music, dressed in fabulous finery and surrounded by colorfully custom designed sets, the Dazzlers intend to express their art with heart at this special event, and they want to share it with you!

Dazzlers Inc. is a team of dancers, and spokesmodels in the virtual world of Second Life, combined with the beautiful models of SL Illustrated and Timeless Model Agency. They appear and perform at charity events as well as paid performances and appearances, and modeling events throughout SL. Each member of Dazzlers Inc. is carefully chosen not only for their avatar’s appearance, but for the personality behind the avatar. Dazzlers dancers are ladies and gentlemen in every sense of the word, displaying grace and style in everything they do. Their poise and intelligence carry them well beyond being merely performers, making this team the perfect choice for any event where you want the best and classiest professionals to add a touch of exciting glamour and beauty.

Dazzlers CEO and Owner, Pyper Dollinger, has had over 25 years RL dance experience as well as being a Professional Cheerleader and she wanted to incorporate it into her Second Life. She believes the most amazing thing about performing in a virtual world is that it allows everyone the chance to grow in their creativity. Whether it’s a person with a disability or someone who just didn’t get the opportunity to dance in RL, here they can reach deep inside and share their love of music and art through the medium of the virtual world.

January Dazzler of the Month!

Salina Matterhorn

1. How long have you been in SL? since 2007

2. When did you join Dazzlers Inc.? January of 2010

3. Do you dance or model in RL? If so what do you do?  I was a cheerleader and dancer for as long as I could remember in RL. Now mostly I go out to salsa clubs with friends and dance. I can’t wait to start coaching and teaching my daughter.

4. What drew you to audition for Dazzlers? I wanted to dance more then SFL. Cheer gave me opportunity for so when I heard about Dazzlers from other cheers, I applied and auditioned. Through it all it’s what keeps me in SL.

5. What is it that makes the team?  Working together to create something spectacular. Supporting each other on and off the stage!

6. What else do you do in SL? I am an SFL cheerleader/ coach of the Patriots. I work for inside SFL magazine as a writer, I am a part time photographer and partner to a wonderful man.

7. What has been your favorite moment from being apart of the team? Just watching the dances coming together everything falling in place but Id have to say my proudest moment was watching my first choreographed song be performed by such beautiful dancers!

8. What do you look forward to doing in the future with them? Hopefully a lot more choreography and working to create sets and costumes

9. If asked what you would love to see the Dazzlers do what would it be?
more performances! I love dancing in front of a crowd!
10. What genre of dance is your favorite? Really I like all genre. I love ballet but the modern and street are fun too!

11. When preparing for the shows what are some hints you have for other dancers/models? clear cache, clean up computer, and try to get things running as smooth as possible cause we all know Lag can be killer!!! But really just relax and enjoy it!

12. You have helped out in so many ways other than just dancing..Can you name a few of the projects you have helped to coordinate? ummmm mainly sets and costumes. I am an artist and get visions of how things can look to make each dance so magical and love watching the visions come to fruition. I help Pyper and Tati any way I can otherwise as I would do fo any dancer!

On Wednesday, December 28th, the Dazzlers performed at their Holiday Party.

They were joined by a large crowd of friends and family, supporting them through three routines, choreographed by Salina Matterhorn, Tatiana Kurri, and Pyper Dollinger.  The photo was taken at the end of “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

Tik Merlin- Dazzler of the Month- December 2011

Tik Merlin has been voted our Dazzler for December!  He is a hard working member, dancing and even helping others with set design.

1.  How long have you been in SL?
I joined SL back in June 2007, more than 4 years ago.

2.  When did you join Dazzlers Inc.?
Long, very very long ago. I recall performances late 2009 and early 2010.

3.  Do you dance or model in RL?  If so what do you do?
I dance a lot, mostly while sitting during those fantastic evenings when we get carried away by our performances

4.  What drew you to audition for Dazzlers?
Pyper. And Tati. And specially Vivi: she knows all about persuading me.

5.  What is it that makes the team?
Lag.
Yes, lag.
Lag makes our days miserable during shows. We stress like crazy. Then we succeed on doing our dancing and we thrill the audiences. And we get that wonderful feeling of having done it together. As a team.

6.  What else do you do in SL?
I am senior dancer at Ballet Pixelle, where i am in charge of sets and  rehearsal assistant. I assist my dearest partner Vivi on her SL endeavors. Besides, I landscape a bit and script a lot, mostly for fun. Occasionally, I model as well.

7.  What has been your favorite moment from being a part of the team?
My favorite moment is most of times the last one we had. As we speak, we just had a lovely rehearsal for MVW gala. We are looking forward it. it’s gonna be thrilling!

8.  What do you look forward to doing in the future with them?
Dancing, dancing and even more dancing.

9.  If asked what you would love to see the Dazzlers do what would it be?
Work with animation/huddles creators for synchronized personal dances, so that we could achieve real couples dancing and beyond.

10.  What genre of dance is your favorite?
I like a plethora of diverse styles, but I really get my eyes locked when Fred and Ginger start to tap, swing and spin.

11.  When preparing for the shows what are some hints you have for other dancers/models?
I usually bring my settings to the absolute reasonable minimums, depending on each show. That means, sometimes, draw distance of 64, lowest graphics, no particles, no animated textures and even friends notifications off. And, of course, tags/names always off.

12.  You have helped out in so many ways other than just dancing..Can you name a few of the projects you have helped to coordinate?
Well, I have given a hand here and there. One I recall clearly was Relay for Life event at the 8th Club, last July 2011, for which we needed to create a model of stage to allow us to do our rehearsals back home. That was challenging !

Vivienne Darcy- Dazzler of the Month- November!

Vivienne Darcy has been voted our Dazzler for November!  She is a fabulously dedicated member of Dazzlers who is always willing to help make costumes and further advance the group!

1.  How long have you been in SL?

Since august 6, 2007

2.  When did you join Dazzlers Inc.?

Goodness, it’s so long ago i don’t remember.  It wasn’t when the group first originated but soon after that when SavannahAnn was still involved.

3.  Do you dance or model in RL?  If so what do you do?

I do!  Ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and I model undergarments in my bedroom. 

4.  What drew you to audition for Dazzlers?

Pyper forced me to do it.  She arm wrestled me and won.

5.  What is it that makes the team?

People who are happy and fun and hardworking and talented and a general delight to be around

6.  What else do you do in SL?

I am in Ballet Pixelle as a senior dancer and costume mistress.  I also model and am currently MISS MONACO in Miss Virtual World.  I am also learning to design and have a shop on the tutu sim.

7.  What has been your favorite moment from being apart of the team?

There are so many, but any time we do a benefit for a good cause it makes me happy.  I also have very very fond memories of the popcorn and movie night we held at Dazzlers and at which Pyper and Tati ate just a little too much causing their uniforms to explode. 

8.  What do you look forward to doing in the future with them?

Making more costumes, doing some choreo AND dancing!

9.  If asked what you would love to see the Dazzlers do what would it be?

I would love to do a Broadway evening at which we presented some of the legendary music and dancing of Broadway musicals.

10.  What genre of dance is your favorite?

Hmm, ballet and tap, I think.  Ballet is exquisite, and how can anyone be depressed when dancing or watching tap?

11.  When preparing for the shows what are some hints you have for other dancers/models?

REPLACEMENT FOLDERS!  They make such a difference.  They help even the chronically disorganized like me be prepared.

12.  You have helped out in so many ways other than just dancing..Can you name a few of the projects you have helped to coordinate?

Lately I have done more costume design for the Dazzlers, and I have enjoyed it greatly.  I also like opening group chat and asking people for a linden so my linden balance will appear. 

Dazzlers Auditions!

Hey all you Dazzlers wannabees and dancers at heart.  We are having auditions!  Yes!  This doesn’t happen often, so don’t miss this opportunity!

The DAZZLERS are a team of dancers and spokesmodels who represent with class, grace and style at special events, paid performances, and charity events. We are a group of people who love to dance, meet new people and love to work hard.  We just had our 4 year anniversary and are moving forward in the virtual dance and fashion scene.  We have perfromed at SLB, RFL Events, and many high end fashion shows such as Avenue, Modavia, Timeless and Evangelista.

Our audition process will be 3 parts:

1. Please create a folder called DAZZLERS Auditions 2011 (your name), include in this folder the attached application and 3 pictures of yourself a. headshot, b. full body and c. your favorite shot that will portray who you are.
No Nude Shots Please.  This is to be sent to Pyper Dollinger. Deadline is Thursday, September 15 at midnight

2. The next portion of the process is the interview process.  A note will go out to invite you if you have been chosen to pass the first part of the process. *Voice will be a requirement for this portion.  A time and date will be displayed in this nc.  If you have any problems with your time that has been chosen for you please contact Pyper Dollinger or Tatiana Kurri.  The dates for interviews will be Saturday or Sunday, September 17 and 18.

3. The last portion of the audition will be a tryout of choreography and style.  Please indicate your email so that the song can be sent to you. You can choreograph a dance to this song from 45 seconds to the end of the song.  We are looking for style and creativity so please come prepared with outfit and dance to wow us.  These auditions will be closed and a nc will be sent to who has passed the first and second portion of the process.  The dates that will be set for auditions will be Wednesday and Thursday, Sept 21 and 22.
The song is Katy Perry, Firework. ( i will send song to you if you send your email in the application.
After the three steps are finished and we have made our decision it will be released on Saturday, September 24.

Please keep in mind that we are looking for people that are willing to work hard, be a team player, no drama, and to be willing to have fun!

Relay for Life- Team “United”

On Friday, July 8th, 2011, the Dazzlers were invited to dance in two timeslots at a RFL event.  Two Dazzlers teams performed during this all day fundraiser, helping to open and close the event.   Adorned in burlesque style feathers, they danced to Cat Deluna’s “Run the Show”.   The crowd loved the performance and even encouraged an encore!  The Dazzlers whipped an arrangement together quickly and “dazzled” the crowd one more time, shown in the photos below.

“West Side Story:  TIMELESS Brooklyn” Fashion Show
